The perception of obscenity often reflects cultural and patriarchal standards that seek to control and repress, often labeling as "obscene" what is simply an expression of women's autonomy and desire over their own bodies and lives.
The snake, often associated with betrayal and danger, can be reinterpreted as a symbol of strength and renewal for women. Just like a snake sheds its skin, women have the ability to reinvent themselves. The image of the snake can remind us of resilience and the ability to overcome challenges.
While both the snake symbol and the "obscene" concept are often viewed in a negative light, the truth is that, when analyzed from a feminist perspective, they can be powerful vehicles for empowerment and resistance.
